Microphotographs of H & E stained sections of show an encapsulated lesion with underlying zellballen pattern (star) separated by segmented bands of prominent fibrovascular network (a 40×, b 100×). These large polygonal cells have abundant granular eosinophilic cytoplasm and central nuclei with mild nuclear atypia. Tumor cells show cytoplasmic immunopositivity for chromogranin (c) and synaptophysin (d)
